Épernay from a tethered balloon
A bird's eye view of the town and hillsides
Panorama Panoramas exceptionnels

Before or after you visit Épernay at street level, don’t miss the opportunity to take a balloon trip and enjoy a panoramic view from 150m above ground. Take the chance to admire the ultra-straight lines of the prestigious properties and parks on the famous Avenue de Champagne and see how the town fits into the landscape of vineyards and wine-producing villages. Enjoy an original and magical first impression of the UNESCO World Heritage Champagne Hillsides, Houses and Cellars.

The sensations are just the same as aboard a hot air balloon, except that a tethered balloon flight, steered by qualified pilots, is simpler, shorter and less hazardous; the balloon is safely moored to the ground by cables, which limit the height it can reach and bring it gently back down to the ground. Up to 30 passengers can be seated within into the basket, which ascends 150m in the air.

Ballon 2

At this height, the three “levels” that typify the Champagne landscapes are clear to see: the town is on the “ground floor” with its Champagne Houses, while the vine-covered hillsides form the “first floor” and the forest, which sits astride the summits, forms the “top floor”. A ride in the tethered balloon offers the chance to enjoy a spectacular view, spot the main sites and of course take photos.

And why not round off the experience by combining the pleasure of tasting Champagne with enjoyment of the flight, by treating yourself to a glass of Champagne during the stationary phase.
